This service is not suitable for standard sight tests, contact lens appointments or other routine assessments, which can be booked online.

What will this eye health check involve?

Our eye health check service is designed to provide expert care for urgent eye issues. If you're having problems with your eyes and need quick support, our optometrists are ready to assist.

This service ensures that you get the right help, when you need it most, without needing to see or obtain a referral from your GP. 

Sometimes these issues will be picked up as part of a routine sight test, but don’t wait until a sight test if you notice any changes or issues developing with your eyes. 

Service availability

In some areas of the UK such as Wales, London, Scotland and Northern Ireland the cost of this appointment may be covered by the NHS, we can tell you if you’re eligible when booking the appointment.

Terms and Conditions

Minor Eye Condition checks are free to you in areas where the service is fully funded by the NHS.  In areas not covered by the NHS, there is a fee of £25.00 payable for this service.  To see if your location is covered by the NHS for this service, please call your local store
