Ask the expert

I've been thinking about wearing contact lenses, but I suffer from allergies and sometimes have very watery eyes. Will this affect me wearing lenses?

Answer:

Some people find that their allergies do affect how comfortable their contact lenses are.

The only way to find out is to give them a try and be prepared to try out a few different types to work out which are best for you.

You might find that daily disposables, which give you the option to wear specs on days when your symptoms are at their worst, might be a good option.

Your optician will be happy to help and test your suitability for lens wear.
