Tom Findlay from Groove Armada: "We've been blessed to spend 30 years in the music scene, and nothing compares to that feeling of being in a crowd with sound so powerful you can feel it in your bones.
"Our generation was the first to rave and they're still on the dancefloor now. We put our ears to very good use and were way too busy having fun to think about the cost of it. I've experienced hearing loss and occasionally wear a hearing device so I can really relate to this campaign."
How it works
Step 1
Take our free online hearing screener. It only takes a few minutes.
Step 2
Join The Testlist and sign up to the Groove Armada prize draw by 13th September.
Winners will be notified via email by 17th September 2026.
Step 3
Keep your eyes peeled for future live music events on The Testlist to be in with a chance of securing tickets.

Remember when you never missed a beat?
Make sure you’re not missing one now.
You danced through the rave years, queued for club nights, memorised every lyric, and are still keeping the nation’s live music scene alive today.
The music, the people, the unity, made you who you are.
But if music sounds a little different these days, maybe the vocals aren’t as clear or it’s missing the richness you’re used to, you’re in good company. Around 42% of people over 50 experience some degree of hearing loss*, yet most of us wait around 10 years before doing anything about it.
That’s why we're turning a hearing screener into something worth listening to.

Hear from our experts
“A lot of people put off checking their hearing because the changes can happen so gradually. You might find yourself turning up the volume, standing closer to the speakers, or struggling to follow conversations in busy places. The sooner you check your hearing, the sooner you can take steps to keep enjoying the sounds you love – whether that's catching up with friends or seeing your favourite artists live.”
