"I've got two looks - for autumn/winter I do country gent and for spring/summer I do nautical. That way I never really have to think about clothes as everything always works. I've been working as a drag queen for the last 20 years (I know you can't tell by looking at me!). My drag character is called Lady Portia Di'monte, she married her first husband for the title and every husband after that for the money! I'm a real advocate for making everyone be themselves."

"I trained as a hairdresser when I was younger and did that for many, many years. I like fashion and I've always liked to dress nicely, I'm always looking at things that aren't really made for my age group. I tend to go for things that are younger than I probably should do! Being part of Spectacle Wearer of the Year really has been a lifetime experience for me."

"My Italian history comes with a name like Massimino Malacrino. My family are from Calabria and moved to Manchester in the 50s after the war. I remember when I had glasses when I was younger and I always used to try and hide them as they were the old, NHS style glasses. For me Spectacle Wearer of the Year hasn't been about winning, it's about being appreciated for something."

"I'm a student, I study optometry at Bradford University. I'm also a blogger on Instagram - it's all about fashion and beauty so I'm very into my outfits and makeup. When choosing to study optometry, it wasn't something that I'd always thought about doing, but when I started doing it I loved it because glasses are a great part of my life. When I got the call to say that I was in the final for Spectacle Wearer of the Year I couldn't believe it. I was so happy and overwhelmed."

"I run my own business, I have a t-shirt company that I run all by myself. I print onto clothing, it's what I like to do for fun and for my work as well. I've always been really crafty and liked to be able to do things myself rather than getting it done somewhere else. My business is to do with a vegan lifestyle as I'm a vegan myself. It's amazing to be part of this because I love wearing my glasses. I like to wear a lot of colour and have fun with what I wear."

"I'm from Fife and I'm delighted to be invited to this. I've got a hairdressing salon that I've had for 31 years. I've never been one for trends but I do speak to a lot of people who want to find their style. I've been getting tattooed for around 40 years now, I wanted a lot of pirate designs and the biggest tattoo I have is on my leg which is a siren. Because of what I do for a living I'm usually pampering people so it's nice to come here and be pampered."

"I'm definitely a people person, I love going out and talking to people. When I wore my glasses for the first time, I was like 'I love this!' because I always had a negative perception towards glasses growing up. When I started wearing glasses it changed my life as it gave me confidence and I stopped having migraines from straining my eyes. My glasses make me feel like I can conquer the world."

"When I was really small I remember loving people like David Bowie and thinking he was really cool. I come from Wales and I love red like the Welsh dragon. My hair's always been red ever since I was old enough to dye it. I've got five children and they've always said that I'm Ariel so I thought that's it, I have to get an Ariel tattoo! A lot of my other tattoos have been drawn by my children. When I have any eye test, I love it because I get so excited to get the chance to buy new glasses."
