Can I get my NHS hearing aids from Specsavers instead of the hospital?

I have NHS hearing aids and have had them over three years . I have two aids and have been deaf most of my life. I am having difficulty hearing most of the time even with them at full volume. Could I possibly go to Specsavers instead of the hospital?

In some parts of England, Specsavers do indeed now offer NHS Hearing Services on the high street, rather than having to attend the hospital. Check on our website to find if you live in an area where the service is available. If so, the first step is to contact your GP to say that you are having difficulties with your hearing, even with your hearing aids, and ask him/her to refer you for a new assessment at your local Specsavers Hearcare Centre.
