How can Newmedica help you?
Newmedica offers a wide range of eye treatments for patients who have been diagnosed with an eye condition. These treatments include cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, Oculoplastics, macular degeneration, macular hole and vitero retinal. These treatments can be accessed either via the NHS or by going private.
Newmedica has a network of eye clinics and surgical centres across England, and are dedicated to helping people protect their sight, so they can get back to doing what they love. Every thing they do is guided by their commitment to deliver personal patient care. Newmedica understand that being diagnosed with an eye condition can feel scary, that's why they always take the time to understand individual patients needs and offer personal care and reassurance throughout.
NHS treatment at Newmedica
The NHS now offers you a choice of where you’d like to receive your NHS‑funded treatment so you can make the best decision based on your circumstances.
Newmedica work in partnership with local NHS trusts across England to help give patients greater control over their specialist eye care treatment, and patients can, if they decide, opt to have their care undertaken at Newmedica surgical centres.
Did you know that Newmedica has a 99% patient satisfaction rating on NHS reviews?
You’ll be entitled to get NHS‑funded treatment with us if you usually (and lawfully) live in England, which means you’re known as 'ordinarily resident'.
If your optician or GP suspects or diagnoses you with an eye condition, they’ll explain all the treatment options, as well as where you can choose to receive your treatment. If you’d like to choose Newmedica, just let them know and they’ll make all the arrangements for your referral.
Your care, your choice
Did you know that NHS patients have the legal right to choose who provides their care? You have the power to choose which NHS or independent clinic like Newmedica delivers your care. You also have the right, if you’re on an NHS waiting list, to ask to go to a different hospital or clinic if it’s able to start your treatment sooner.
Private treatment at Newmedica
Newmedica’s range of private treatments and services are available for people who opt to cover the cost of treatment themselves or can claim through their private medical insurance.
There are a number of reasons why some Newmedica patients choose to go private. It might be that the treatment they need isn’t available on the NHS, they’d like to have more options on their treatment plans, or they’re after more flexibility around their appointment and treatment types.
