The team at Specsavers in Yardley has come up with a hair-raising way to raise money for a children’s cancer charity.
Customers in store will be greeted by the team wearing wacky wigs on Wednesday 25 May to fundraise for the CLIC Sargent team based at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Smiles for special cause
Store director, Dee Browning, said: ‘CLIC Sargent offer tremendous support to youngsters who have had a diagnosis of cancer and their families during a frightening and challenging time. We hope to raise smiles from our customers as well as lots of money for the charity.’
The charity provides practical, financial and emotional support for children and teenagers who have been diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia.
Specsavers staff will also be selling home-baked treats from 11:30 and offering specs MOTs (cleaning and adjustments) for a suggested donation of £1.
CLIC Sargent believes that children with cancer have the right to the best possible treatment, care and support throughout their cancer journey and beyond. To find out more about the charity, visit www.clicsargent.org.uk
