The Specsavers store in Worthing is keen for people to donate to the charity Vision Aid Overseas (VAO) this New Year, following the long-standing relationship with them.
Collecting and recycling glasses
Specsavers stores all over the UK have collected and recycled more than 250,000 glasses and raised thousands of pounds since 2003 so that VAO can provide high quality eyecare to people in Africa. The charity works in six developing African countries.
Eye clinic in under-developed countries
Store director Cheryl Spray said: 'Donations to VAO make a significant difference to helping them open more eyecare clinics in under-developed countries.
'We'd like our Worthing community to consider the charity when they come to purchase their glasses, as something so simple as donating an old pair of glasses can make a huge difference to someone's life.'
