The Easter bunny proved to be a real treat for a charity after the team at Specsavers Worcester raised £300 for Acorns by raffling off a giant chocolate rabbit.
Staff at the store ran the raffle of the giant chocolate bunny, produced by the Chocolate Deli in the town. Four-year-old Georgia White scooped the prize and got to take the bunny home, but decided to share it with her sister Gracie, six.
‘We’re delighted to have raised £300 for Acorns and that the bunny has found a good home with Georgia and Gracie – although I’m not sure how long he’ll be around for!’ said store director, Alan Richards.
‘We’ve been running an Easter raffle for Acorns for the past seven years or so – it’s a simple initiative but a great way to give something back. Thank you to everyone who supported us.’
Acorns Children's Hospice is a registered charity, offering a network of care and support to life-limited and life-threatened children and their families across the heart of England.
