Specsavers Woolwich show off their large collection of glasses as they prepare to donate them to an international optics charity.
Vision Aid Overseas
The team have been collecting glasses donated by generous customers over the past 6 months, in aid of Vision Aid Overseas (VAO), who provide optical training and practical resources for people in impoverished countries.
Randip Wilkhu, store director at Specsavers Woolwich said: ‘We often take our access to optical healthcare for granted in this country and resources are so easy to come by that we neglect their potential importance to other people.
‘That’s exactly why the work of Vision Aid Overseas is so admirable and we are really thrilled that our local customers have backed us in our charitable aims. Our donation will be a really significant one and we must thank people for their generosity.’
