Optical experts at Specsavers in Wood Green brought a touch of Hollywood and Bollywood glamour to their store and raised vital funds along the way.
The Hollywood vs. Bollywood event, which took place on Saturday 25 April, involved all staff dressing up as their favourite film characters in return for donations from local customers. Other activities included a bake sale, face painting and henna tattoos with all proceeds going to the Nepal earthquake appeal.
Lopa Shah, store director at Specsavers in Wood Green, said: ‘The Hollywood versus Bollywood Day was so much fun and really brought everyone together for a great cause.
We really hope that the funds we raised for the Nepal earthquake appeal make a difference and we thank everyone for their generous donations. The response was over whelming!'
The Nepal earthquake appeal supports families currently affected by this crisis. All donations are used to help those affected, to rebuild their lives and look positively to the future.
