Since opening its doors in 1990, Specsavers Wolverhampton has grown from just six staff to a team of 78. Two of those recent additions are Hardip Bahia and Hasan Abdulla who now lead the store and recently oversaw an expansion as they continue to deliver excellent eyecare for the local community.
Hardip has been with Specsavers for more than 16 years, starting her career as a pre-registered optician in Specsavers Dudley, before moving to the store in Sutton Coldfield and then taking up a director role in Bromsgrove. She joined the team at Wolverhampton a year ago keen to take on a new challenge, as she said: ‘It’s great to have been involved in the store’s expansion – we’re committed to offering the best possible eye and hear care, and now, in our improved and more spacious surroundings, we’ll be able to do just that.’
Hasan has been with Specsavers since 2012 and has undertaken many regional support roles for the optical group before deciding to join the Wolverhampton team as a retail director just over a year ago. Hasan brings in a wealth of retail experience having managed large Currys and PCWorld superstores during his 15 years in retail management.
‘It’s great to be part of the team as the store embarks on its next part of the journey and we’re both proud and excited to welcome customers through our doors,’ he added.
