Visitors to Specsavers in Witney were greeted by staff in their finest onesies as part of a fundraising day for Children in Need on Friday 13 November helping to raise £200.
Staff at the store paid for the privilege to wear the all in one bed wear as well as selling homemade sweet treats to customers. All the money will go to the BBC charity that helps make a difference to the lives of children throughout the UK.
‘We’ve done something for Children in Need for the past few years and it always goes down really well with staff and customers,’ said store director, Cathy Mullen. ‘It was a great opportunity to have some fun and raise money at the same time. A big thank you to everyone that came down and showed their support.’
Children in Need is the BBC’s corporate charity and provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. The charity supports small and large organisations which empower children and extend their life choices.
