A Witham opticians will be partnering up with a local group of volunteers to sponsor the Witham Round Table charity fireworks display, the largest annual event in the community.
Fun and entertainment
On Saturday 8 November Specsavers in Witham, located in the Grove Shopping Centre, will be supporting the Witham based group as they put on an evening of fun and entertainment for the whole community.
With gates opening at 5pm, the show will kick off with a warming bonfire before moving on to everyone’s favourite part of the night, a dazzling fireworks display. As well as the exciting displays, there will also be a large fair with a variety of exciting attractions and a delicious array of refreshments. Staff from Specsavers Witham will be doing their part by offering visitors free sight test leaflets and eyecare advice. The store will also be contributing to the event organisation, which raises money to be invested in the communities clubs, societies and facilities.
Specsavers Witham store director, Jennifer Bowen, said: ‘We are very excited to be supporting this year’s Witham fireworks alongside the Witham Round Table. Every year the community gets together to celebrate and enjoy this event and we are thrilled that we can be a part of it this year and hopefully raise money for the community and raise awareness about eye health.’
Witham Round Table chairman, Rob Gray, said: ‘The Witham Round Table organises events in the town to help raise money for local charities and organisations and all the money we raise is put back into the community. The largest of these events is the Witham fireworks and we are really lucky and excited to have Specsavers Witham supporting us in putting on what will no doubt be a fantastic event.’
The Witham fireworks will take place on Saturday 8 November at Witham Rugby Club.
