A Wishaw opticians is helping youngsters to stay safer when out and about by donating high visibility vests to local school pupils.
Pupils at Netherton Primary received vests from the Specsavers store on Main Street.
The vests are designed to increase the safety of local children by making them more visible to drivers when they’re on school trips and outings.

Importance of being visible

Specsavers Wishaw store director Erin Riddell says: ‘No matter the time of year, it’s so important for youngsters to be visible to drivers when they’re outside of the school.
‘We’re so pleased that we’ve been able to donate the vests to help children stay safe.’
