The team at the Winsford store have raised £140 for Macmillan Cancer Research, selling a selection of homemade sweet treats for their customers.
Customers were invited to vote on the best bakers of the day, with the awards going to store manager Fiona Peers for her clotted cream and jam scones, as well as optical assistant Heather, who made a fantastic lemon drizzle cake.
Peter Adshead, store director at Specsavers Winsford said: ‘It was brilliant to see what the team had whipped up for the day. The whole day was really successful and everyone had a wonderful time selling snacks for a good cause.’
‘Each year Macmillan helps millions of people and anyone who has been affected by cancer understands what a special charity Macmillan is, so I’d like to thank all our customers who visited us on the day and helped us make a difference.’
