The Winsford team would like to thank all of their customers who generously donated over their Comic relief fundraising weekend (24 and 25 March).
Getting into the charity spirit, the staff all dressed up in their brightest red outfits and encouraged everyone who visited the store to join the fun.
Counting on your support
A mini counting competition was also held across the weekend where customers had to guess how many frames where inside a jar, with all entry fees going towards charity.
The staff weren’t the only ones dressed up for Comic Relief either, as the iconic Specsavers logo on the front of the store got all googly-eyed with a giant replica of the Red Nose Day glasses.
Human-sized Red Nose Day glasses – in adult and children’s sizes – were also sold in store, costing £2, with all money raised going straight to Comic Relief.
Peter Adshead, store director at Winsford said: ‘It was so much fun to see the customers and the staff getting into the Comic Relief spirit.’
‘The Red Nose Day glasses were incredibly popular, as we almost completely ran out of stock over the weekend.’
Specsavers in Winsford joined Specsavers stores nationwide in supporting Comic Relief to help change countless lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
Specsavers has been a Red Nose Day partner since 2015.
