A Wickford opticians put the fun into fundraising to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice.
Two days of activities
Store staff from Specsavers, located at 44 High Street, held two days of activities on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 April. All funds raised from the event, which included a bake sale and raffles, were donated to the hospice.
Bee Kefford, assistant store manager said: ‘We try to support local causes whenever possible and St Luke’s is such a big part of our community. The work they do to ease the suffering of the terminally ill in Basildon and Thurrock is fantastic and we’re delighted to raise some vital funds for them.’

The store held two raffles over the course of the fundraiser; one for adults and one for children. Prizes in the adult’s raffle included a free pair of designer glasses, a voucher to JoJo’s Café, a facial from Lotus Rooms and much more.
