Specsavers recently celebrated the first anniversary of its opening in Wick by reflecting on key milestones from the past year.
Reflecting on a busy year
Specsavers in Wick displayed impressive figures from the last 12 months in the store’s window. Staff at the store have completed more than 4,000 eye examinations, 400 emergency eye appointments and more than 900 contact lens consultations.
The arrival of the store last September also brought 13 new jobs to the area.
Ian Morris, store director at Specsavers in Wick, said: ‘We had a fantastic time reflecting on the past year. Customers who stopped by the store were amazed to see just how many appointments we had in one year.’
Marking the milestone
Staff at the store also marked the milestone by sharing a slice of cake with customers and offered the chance to take part in a lucky dip for the opportunity to get money off glasses.
Ian continued: ‘We’d like to thank all of our wonderful customers for their support since we opened our doors and we are looking forward to another superb year in Wick.’
As well as eyecare, the team offers a hearing service with a fully-qualified audiologist visiting the store on a monthly basis with customers able to collect, where possible, their hearing aids on the same day as their appointment.
