Recent research by Specsavers has shown that receiving praise or a compliment (82%) top the list of things most likely to elicit a smile during these challenging times.
That’s why colleagues at the West Wickham store were inspired to praise their customers for their ongoing loyalty and support in 2020 by offering to put together a lovely hamper gift for one customer to win.
Simple things in life can bring us a little joy
Customers visiting the store during December were all given a raffle ticket free of charge. Margaret Terry was thrilled to be selected at random and collected her prize from optical assistant, Og Richards, this week.
The gesture was designed to reflect the research carried out by YouGov for Specsavers that showed it is the simple things in life that can bring us all a little bit of joy.
A few words from the director
Specsavers store director Lindsay Mfubisha says: ‘While times have been hard for us all, we have all made sure that we have kept smiling throughout. We know the power of smile lifts spirits, reassures people and helps us connect with customers.
‘It was lovely to see what we could do beyond great customer service to bring a smile to the community with a simple raffle prize. Now we’re into the New Year, we’ll be working our hardest to bring even more smiles to our customers.’
