Staff from Specsavers in West Bromwich have hit the big time – being viewed by thousands of people across the country!
The team at the store were asked to take part in a national TV campaign promoting Specsavers’ hearing services. The advert, which was written, produced and filmed in-house, by Specsavers Creative, launched on Monday 13 July and will run for a (time) period.
It features hearing centre store director, Gery Learmont and follows a customer and her daughter coming into the store for a free hearing test and getting her hearing aids the same day. On the way into the store they pass a busker tuning his violin, but it’s only as the customer leaves the store, now wearing her new hearing aids, that she can hear how terrible he is!
'We were thrilled to be asked to star in the TV advert,’ said Michelle Powell, store director. ‘It required an early 3am start to open the store and we filmed for a few hours, but the team didn't mind as it was a chance to make their acting debuts! We're delighted with the finished product!'
The advert’s director Chris Denton highlighted why the West Bromwich store was chosen for the commercial; ‘It was an easy choice of location for us: everything looks fresh and the store is in a great position with loads of natural light.’
