Specsavers West Bridgford marked a special milestone on Saturday 10 May by raising funds for the RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind).
To celebrate the store's fifth birthday, staff chose to support the sight loss charity with a host of activities. The team held a bake sale for customers in return for donations, alongside a raffle with some great prizes up for grabs.
‘The weekend coincided with our fifth anniversary in the town, so what better way to celebrate than to raise funds for a cause that is close to our hearts,’ says Simon Dunn, store director. ‘We'd like to thank everyone who came along and showed their support and hope they got to enjoy some of the delicious treats we had on offer.'
The RNIB works to make daily life better for people affected by sight loss. It aims to raise awareness of sight problems, ways of preventing sight loss, and campaigns for better services and a more inclusive society.
