Members of staff at Specsavers in Wellington are gearing up to take on their next charity challenge for the Cavernoma Alliance, a UK charity supporting people affected by cavernoma.
The team will travel to Snowdonia National Park next month to climb Wales' highest mountain, Mount Snowdon, and are encouraging Wellington locals to make a charitable donation ahead of the challenge.
No strangers to charity fundraising, the team has already raised more than £700 for Vision Aid Overseas this year.
Satinder continued: ‘We’ve had a fantastic few months of fundraising so far this year and are keen to carry this on. The Cavernoma Alliance is a charity dedicated to raising awareness of a relatively unknown condition and I’d like to encourage all of our customers to make a donation and find out more about its fantastic work.’
The Cavernoma Alliance
A cavernoma is a cluster of abnormal blood vessels, usually found in the brain and spinal cord. The Cavernoma Alliance UK aims to provide support and information for all those affected by the condition including friends, family and carers, as well as raise public awareness.
