Specsavers in Wellingborough has been transformed with a brand new look and the launch of a dedicated hearing service.
The store has invested in two new testing rooms as well as revamping its contact lens area. The refit has allowed the store to employ an extra optometrist, as well as new optical assistants, and also install ten tablet devices with cutting-edge software, Digital Precision Eyecare.
The biggest change of all, however, is the brand new hearing service which will be available every Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as the last Sunday of every month. Residents can also take advantage of a complimentary hearing check with the audiologist, Rachel Poulton.
Peter Cunningham, store director, said: ‘We’re really excited about the refit as it means we can offer customers an even better experience in-store, including new hearing services.
‘Most people know that it’s important to get your eyes examined regularly as part of a full health check, but fewer people realise the importance of having hearing checks. Hearing loss is a gradual process that may not be noticed until significant loss of aural awareness has occurred.
‘As well as this we’ve also introduced a new way of choosing specs with digital imaging software, Digital Precision Eyeware. Customers can now see what they look like in a variety of frames by using our tablet devices in-store. Not only that, but the software takes your bespoke dispensing measurements from the images so that your final glasses fit perfectly.’
Hearing clinics will take place at the store every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am – 5pm, as well as the last Sunday of every month from 10am – 4pm.
