Specsavers Wealdstone are delighted to have celebrated International Women’s Day in their brand new High Street store.
And to mark the occasion, they have taken the chance to highlight three amazing women who are at the heart of the in store team.
Shreya is one of two store managers at Specsavers Wealdstone, and is also a dispensing optician. She has worked in optics for 11 years, and for Specsavers for 10 of those years. She joined the Wealdstone team from the Harrow store after two years there.
Her aspiration is to make Specsavers Wealdstone the most successful new store in the region. When she is not at work, Shreya enjoys socialising and going to the gym.
Fem is the other manager at the Wealdstone store. She has worked in optics for 16 years, starting as an optical assistant and working her way up to dispensing optician and store manager. She is currently on her Specsavers management pathway with a view to becoming a director of her own store one day.
Fem is passionate about customer experience and making sure that the team deliver their best for customers. She is also passionate about her children, travelling, and her nails and beauty regime.
Rina is an optometrist. She worked for Specsavers as an optical assistant while she was studying, then did her pre-registration year there before qualifying. She went into optics to be in the healthcare profession and make a real difference for people.
Her professional aspirations are to deliver the best possible care she can to the people of Wealdstone, and to help improve eye care in developing countries. Away from work, she likes art and going bouldering.
Recognising inspirational women
Adam Shackle, retail director in Wealdstone, said: ‘We have a great team at Specsavers Wealdstone.
‘International Women’s Day is a great chance to recognise inspirational women from all around the world, and we are delighted that Shreya, Rina and Fem have chosen to be part of our team.’
