Specsavers store team members held a bake sale for breast cancer charity ‘CoppaFeel!’ on Saturday 13th October, managing to raise a total of over £180.

What is CoppaFeel?

CoppaFeel is a charity which formed with the aim of giving everyone the best possible chance of surviving breast cancer. They are the first breast cancer charity in the UK to solely create awareness amongst young people, ‘with the aim of instilling the knowledge and tools they need to get to know their bodies’.

What did the store do?

The team got baking in preparation for the day, selling items such as heart/breast shaped iced cookies and cakes. They also decorated the store in themed balloons and Lab Manager Andy made handmade key rings for the cause as well.

A word from the director

Store director Tim Griffiths says he is proud of the team for all of the fundraising efforts they have gone to throughout the year.

‘This bake sale is just one of many events we have held in store in 2018, and I couldn’t be more proud of the team for the energy they give to supporting these worthy causes.’
