As Christmas draws near and gifts are flying off the shelves, Specsavers opticians in Waterlooville are reminding people to consider donating to Vision Aid Overseas (VAO) tthis festive season.
Giving to African communities
Lack of eyecare services is common in certain African communities, so VAO ensures that eyecare can be accessible to everyone by working in six different developing countries and providing them with unwanted glasses.
Lack of eyecare services
Specsavers Waterlooville store director, Bill Vance said: ‘Around 10 per cent of the world’s population have a distinct lack of eyecare services and a lack of glasses.
‘That’s why we’re supporting VAO this Christmas by encouraging our Waterlooville community to come and donate to the charity, whether it be unused glasses or a monetary donation. We can give a little to make a big difference.’
