Members of staff at Warminster will be taking part in the fundraising fun by baking a range of delicious treats for a store bake off this Red Nose Day (Friday 24 March).
Customers and passers-by will be invited to judge the home-made bakes. Visitors will also be in with a chance of winning a red nose cake by guessing its name.
Comic Relief supporters in Warminster can also accessorise their red nose with comedy waving hand glasses.
Priced at just £2 and available in store now, all money raised from sales of the specs will be donated to Comic Relief. The glasses come in adult and children’s sizes.
Store director Richard Goring said: ‘We’ve got some very talented bakers in store, so I’d like to encourage all of our customers to drop in, grab a slice of cake and get stuck in to help us raise as much money as we can for Comic Relief.
‘The glasses are fantastic and we’ll be encouraging everyone who buys a pair to also join our giant Mexican wave on social media as well. Simply strike a pose with your glasses and post with the #GiveUsAWave to receive your very own wave back,’ Richard added.
Specsavers in Warminster has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
