Visitors to Wantage Specsavers were treated to a fundraising spec-tacle as the team held activities in aid of Comic Relief, raising more than £400.
Staff got behind the Comic Relief cause by ditching their uniforms in favour of red clothes, hosting a bake sale and selling the official Comic Relief glasses complete with waving hands.
Nicky Rutter, store director at Specsavers in Wantage said: ‘This was a great day for all involved and we’re delighted to have supported Comic Relief. We raised a whopping £400 and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made a donation.’
Specsavers in Wantage joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity. Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
