Wandsworth eyecare experts raised more than £900 in support of man’s best friend through a month-long charity initiative.
The team from Specsavers in Wandsworth’s Southside Shopping Centre welcomed guide dogs Coco, Otto and Willow to store at the conclusion of a special fundraising drive for the Guide Dogs charity.
£914 was raised in total through activities including a prize raffle, a children’s tombola and a ‘guess the puppy’s name’ competition.
A word from the store director
Andrew Kemp, store director at Specsavers in Wandsworth, said: ‘We are grateful to everyone who helped make the drive such as success. Guide dogs Coco, Otto and Willow were a big hit in store and were great ambassadors for this important cause, which supports people who are blind and partially sighted. We’re thrilled Wandsworth has given the charity its backing once again.’
Raffle prizes including indulgent hampers and dining vouchers have been donated by Tesco, Ed’s Easy Diner, Cineworld, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Wagamma, Nando’s, Waterstones, Costa, Rush Hair Salon, The Entertainer and Planet Organic. Tiger and WHSmith also donated prizes for the children’s tombola.
