It's that time of year again, a change of season with fresh pollen in the air, the perfect combination to offset those dreaded hayfever symtoms. With one in four people in the UK affected by hayfever*, Specsavers Wakefield, is urging customers to visit instore to recieve expert adivce on how to best look after their eyes this Spring.
Advice for combating hayfever
Allergies can prove to be particularly annoying to contact lens and specticle wearers due to symptoms including itchy, burning and swelling eyes. If you wear glasses, it is recommended to try a wraparound version to help to keep pollen away from your eyes. For contact lens wearers, it is advised to switch to daily disposables to combat itching, but if this fails, it is also suggested to try wraparound specs during the hayfever season.
A word from the Store Director
