Congratulations are in order at Specsavers Tunbridge Wells, where Ailsa Reed has just passed her final exams to become a dispensing optician.
Ailsa, 28, has worked at the store in Mount Pleasant Road for just under seven years, joining the team as an optical assistant in early 2011. Since then, she has passed her Cert 3 and Cert 4 prior to becoming a dispensing optician – a process that has taken her three-and-a-half years. She now plans to train to become a contact lens practitioner at the store.
Ian Hyland, store director in Tunbridge Wells, said: ‘We’re immensely proud of Ailsa. She’s been with us for six-and-a-half years and delivers excellent customer care. We’re delighted to have her on the team and sponsor her as she takes the next step in her career – becoming a contact lens practitioner.’
