Staff at Specsavers in Tunbridge Wells took the time to raise some much-needed funds for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) this National Eye Health Week.
During the annual awareness week, which ran from Monday 18 to Friday 22 September, the store donated £1 per eye test to RNIB. That’s an incredible 400 eye tests over the course of just one week – meaning £400 for the charity.
The store is also offering customers the chance to win their glasses for a donation of £1. This will run until the end of October, so there is still plenty of time for customers to get involved and raise even more cash.
A word from the store director:
Ian Hyland, store director at Specsavers Tunbridge Wells, said: ‘We were delighted to support RNIB this National Eye Health Week. People lead busy lives, but eye health really matters.
'Having an eye test every two years – unless you have been told to have one more often – is vital to keeping your vision healthy.’
