Customers visiting the Specsavers store this Red Nose Day (Friday 24 March) will be able to get their hands on a delicious slice of home-made cake in exchange for a charitable donation.
Members of staff will also be taking part in the fundraising fun by ditching their usual uniforms in favour of their silliest red outfits to raise extra cash.
Comic Relief supporters in Trowbridge can accessorise their red nose with comedy waving hand glasses.
Sport your specs
The team are encouraging local residents to join them on Friday 24 March and take part in this year’s Comic Relief theme ‘give us a wave’ with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses. The glasses, which are available in store, come in both children’s and adult sizes and are just £2, with all the money donated to Comic Relief.
Store director Colin Gault said: ‘Comic Relief is a brilliant charity and one that we’re delighted to support in store. The glasses are fantastic and we want to encourage everyone, young and old, to sport their specs on Red Nose Day.’
Colin added: ‘I’d like to encourage all of our customers to visit us in store on Friday to indulge in some tasty treats and help us raise as much money as we can. We’ve always had a warm response from our local community for charity initiatives in the past, and I’m certain that this year will be no different.’
Specsavers in Trowbridge has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
