Specsavers Tring has helped local children to stay safer this winter by donating hi-visibility vests to a local scout group.
Keeping children safe at night
Specsavers Tring, donated high-visibility vests to the children of 1st Tring Scouts to raise awareness of Specsavers’ charity partner Brake, which promotes road safety in the UK.
Bindi Shah, store director at Specsavers Tring says: ‘Now that the clocks have changed and the nights are getting darker, we want to ensure that children – and their parents – feel safe when they’re out and about over the next few months.'
Assistant Cub Leader Anja Josefsberg also says: 'The 1st Tring group love to be outdoors throughout the year. These extra vests have made sure that the children are visible when we do our walks and adventurous activities in the woods at night, even during the winter.'
Brake is a national road safety charity that exists to prevent deaths and injuries which happen on roads on a daily basis.
