Specsavers opticians on Tottenham Court Road has given out high-visibility vests to children in a bid to keep them safe when they’re near the busy London roads.
The team at the store encouraged all passers-by to come and grab a bright vest for their kids.
Promoting Road Safety Week
Children visiting the store could claim a free high-visibility vest to help keep them visible, especially as the evenings are much darker. Road Safety Week is an initiative started by the national road safety charity, Brake and sponsored by Specsavers.
The charity exists in order to help prevent deaths and injuries on the road, as well as support victims of road accidents; and help implement road safety policies.
Store director Mo El-Turki said: ‘London is a very busy area and we hope that the high-visibility vests will help to keep children safe and visible to drivers around the city.’
