Tiverton Specsavers put road safety firmly in their sights during Road Safety Week with the gift of free high visibility vests for adults and children while stocks last.
The locally run business located on Gold Street offered children’s vests available from aged three to eight and adults vests in size large, ideal for wearing over winter coats.
A message from the store director
Emma Denham, Specsavers Tiverton store director, said: ‘We are keen to support the local community in any way we can. What better way to highlight road safety than ensuring local children are safe when they’re out and about than with high visibility vests. The vests are ideal for school groups and families alike.’
What is Road Safety Week?
Road Safety Week is the UK’s biggest road safety event, coordinated annually by Brake, the road safety charity. The week aims to inspire thousands of schools, organisations and communities to take action on road safety and promote life saving measures.
2017 Road Safety Week theme
The year’s theme for Road Safety Week is Speed Down Save Lives, focusing on the dangers of driving too fast. The campaign also promotes the importance of 20mph speed limit in built up areas. For further information on road safety click here.
