Thetford’s town crier joined forces with Specsavers Thetford to announce a spectacular fundraising event and call on the community to dig deep for Breast Cancer Care

Pretty in pink

The store was covered in a sea of colour as staff became pretty in pink, raising a total of £405 for the charity for the fourth year in a row.

The staff sold homemade pink cupcakes and breast cancer awareness pins outside the store. They also held a raffle in the run-up to the event, including 22 prize donations from staff and other local businesses such as cinema tickets, chocolate and hampers.

Generous donations

Store director Paul Clark, said: ‘We really enjoyed seeing customers old and new come together to support such a wonderful cause. It was an extremely successful day, exceeding our expectations. We’re so thankful for all the generous donations that were given for Breast Cancer Care.’
