Tewkesbury youngsters are being asked to test their creative skills as part of a design an Easter egg competition organised by Specsavers to raise money for charity.
Templates are available now from the store and all designs must be returned by Sunday 15 April along with a donation of 50p.
All the money raised will be donated to the Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA), the store’s nominated charity for 2018. The winner, chosen by the store the next day, will receive a goody bag of sweet treats.
A word from the store director
‘With the Easter holidays just around the corner, this is the perfect activity to help keep your children occupied,’ said Glenn Dunkley, store director at Specsavers Tewkesbury. ‘It’s also a great opportunity for us to raise some more money for CLAPA so please do support us if you can. We’re looking forward to seeing all the entries and picking a winner.’
About the charity
Since 1979, CLAPA has been the only national charity dedicated to all those with and affected by cleft lip and/or palate in the UK.
The charity reaches out to families from the moment of diagnosis and helps them through any difficulties they have before and after the birth of their child by providing a specialist feeding service, as well as targeted information and a national network of trained volunteers providing one-to-one emotional support and local events and meet-ups.
