Stepping Stones playgroup have road safety firmly in their sights following a donation of high-visibility vests from Taunton opticians, Specsavers.
See and be seen
The Staplegrove playgroup in Taunton cares for children aged between two years and school age. The bright yellow jackets are being used for all outings in the local community including regular welly walks in the surrounding countryside.
A word from the store
Emma Denham, store director of Specsavers Taunton said: ‘The playgroup had run out of their previous stock so it was a timely opportunity really and one we were happy to help with. It’s very important that children can experience learning outside the classroom and with their high-visibility vests on children and staff can feel safe.’
Road Safety campaign
Specsavers Taunton donated the vests as part of a campaign run by Brake, the road safety charity. Brake aims to inspire thousands of schools, organisations and communities to take action on road safety and promote life saving measures.
