The manager of Tamworth Specsavers is celebrating a special milestone, after serving the local community for 15 years.

Since starting work at Specsavers in 1999, Bev Jukes has seen the store evolve greatly. Just 10 staff worked at the store then, but as the business has grown to serve more people in the local community, it now employs 30 staff.

In her 15 years as store manager, Bev has become a familiar face to many of the loyal customers. ‘I really enjoy working at the store. Many of our customers have been visiting Specsavers for a long time, and I’ve gotten to know many of them well over the years.’

‘The store’s success is testament to the team’s hard work and commitment to ensuring each of our customers receives the very best service when they visit,’ continued Bev. ‘It’s that friendly and professional service which means many of our customers choose to come back regularly.’

During her time with the store, Bev has also received support and training from Specsavers, enabling her career to grow with the business. Now, as a qualified dispensing optician, Bev liaises with the store’s staff and utilises her optical knowledge to deliver excellent service to customers.

As a staple part of the local community, the store supports various charities including the Ashanti Development project. As part of these charitable efforts, Bev was due to visit Ghana in October. However, the trip has now been postponed until the New Year in response to the Ebola outbreak.
