Season of good will in full swing in Swindon
The team at Swindon Specsavers have focused on giving during this festive season, raising funds for a global children’s charity as well as collecting gifts for children, families and others who have little or nothing under the tree on Christmas morning.
Members of staff at the store paid to wear their favourite festive knits for the day on Friday 16 December, raising £100 for Save the Children. The store has also been collecting for the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal throughout December, making a final donation of more than 50 gifts.
‘At this time of year, it’s important to remember those who need a helping hand, both at home and around the world,’ said store director, David Grieves. ‘We’ve had a great response from our local community and are so grateful to our customers for once again supporting some brilliant causes.
The work that both Save the Children and the Salvation Army do is essential for vulnerable people in need, and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to support these charities.’
