The Swansea team has raised more than £50 for Save the Children by wearing festive jumpers and hosting a cake sale.

Combined effort

Staff members were encouraged to make a small donation in order to swap their uniform for a festive jumper for the day.

They also brought in a variety of cakes, many of which were baked by members of staff, for customers to buy, raising £56 for the charity.

About Save the Children

Save the Children helps children all over the world escape poverty and drought, return to education after natural disasters and provides essential healthcare to those in crisis.

In 2016 alone, it gave more than 21 million children the chance to grow up safely and healthy with access to education.

A good cause

Tracy Hill, store manager at the Swansea store, said: ‘At such a festive time that often focusses on the tradition of gift giving, it’s easy for people to forget how lucky we are and this fundraiser was a stark reminder that millions of people are not as fortunate.

‘It was lovely to see the team members support the cause by going to so much effort with the bake sale and festive clothing. It’s also thanks to our generous customers for their donations that we were able to support the charity.’
