Staff at Sutton in Ashfield donned their chefs whites and baked up a culinary storm to fundraise for Blind Veterans UK during Armed Forces Week 2015 (22 to 28 June).

All things baked and British

Specsavers Sutton in Ashfield helped celebrate 100 years of the charity’s work helping blind ex-Service men and women, by hosting a British themed cake sale on Friday 26 June. As well as encouraging donations in the store, staff asked customers to take a selfie using the props provided, for a small donation to the charity.

Specsavers Sutton in Ashfield store director, Nigel Davidson, said: 'The charity is currently supporting more than 4,000 blind veterans and with our help, they hope to reach their target of recruiting 700 new beneficiaries in the coming year.’
