Staff at the Sutton in Ashfield Specsavers have been nominated for two prestigious national awards celebrating excellence in eyecare.
The store has beaten hundreds of its counterparts from around the country to be shortlisted for the 2014 Specsavers Excellence in the Community award, which recognises the store that demonstrates a passion for its community. The store has also been shortlisted for the Excellence in People Development and Engagement award, which identifies the store that best demonstrates a track record of developing and engaging employees.
The Sutton in Ashfield team is up against many shortlisted stores vying for the Excellence in the Community and Excellence in the People Development and Engagement awards. These and six other awards will be presented at a glitzy gala dinner awards ceremony on Saturday 6 December at Birmingham’s ICC.
Nigel Davidson, store director at Specsavers in Sutton in Ashfield, said: ‘We’re thrilled to be in the running for not one but two fantastic awards. The whole team is so passionate about being part of the community and giving back. Alongside this, our professionalism in store takes pride of place and we’re committed to developing staff to be the best they can be. We’re all keeping our fingers crossed that our hard work is recognised on 6 December!’
