The Sutton in Ashfield team held a week of activities to promote its hearing service from 2-8 August 2015.
The team at Specsavers in the Idlewells Shopping Centre, Sutton in Ashfield, spent the week highlighting the hearing services available in store for customers. Staff also educated customers on hearing loss and looking for early detection signs. On Friday 7 August, they were joined by Don Sharpe and hearing dog Mitchell from the Hearing Dogs charity.
A hearing test is free and takes just a few minutes
Nigel Davidson, store director at Specsavers in Sutton in Ashfield, said: ‘Hearing loss can sometimes leave people feeling isolated and helpless. Many people often don’t realise that their hearing has deteriorated because it can be a very slow, gradual process. That’s why regular testing is crucial - we can deal with it before it becomes a debilitating issue. A hearing test is free and takes just a few minutes.’
