Specsavers Sutton Coldfield has turned its Christmas spirit into fuel for some festive fundraising.
Throughout December the team at Specsavers in the Red Rose Centre collected unwrapped gifts for the Salvation Army which will be given to children aged up to 16 in families in need.
A word from the store director
‘This is the fifth year we have collected for the Christmas present appeal,’ said store director, Tim Goodhew. ‘We are always bowled over by the generosity of our customers and hope to be able to provide gifts for just as many children this year.’
Continuing the festive fundraising theme, the Specsavers Sutton Coldfield team also donned their jolliest seasonal knitwear in support of local Good Hope Hospital’s Christmas jumper day, from Friday 14 December to Sunday 16 December.
‘We were delighted when Good Hope Hospital contacted us about their Christmas jumper day,’ continued Tim. ‘But we thought, why only wear them for one day when we could make a long weekend of it? It’s such an easy and fun way to support a great local cause.’
