Specsavers in Sutton Coldfield hosted an array of activities throughout March to raise £800 for Comic Relief. Kicking off their efforts with bake sales and a bean bag throwing competition, the team also got into the Red Nose Day spirit by getting involved in a funny face competition and asked customers to vote for the funniest face.
Tim Goodhew, store director of Specsavers Sutton Coldfield, said: ‘We’ve had so much fun making our faces funny for money. I’m incredibly proud of the team for putting so much effort into our fundraising and grateful to our customers for helping us to raise such a fantastic amount.’
The money raised through Red Nose Day helps poor and vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
