Specsavers in Surbiton is calling on customer to donate any old specs they have to the store’s new Vision Aid Overseas appeal.
The store is renewing its support for Vision Aid this year to help provide important eyecare services to people living in challenging conditions in Africa.
A worthy cause
Residents with used or unwanted glasses going spare can drop them off at the collection box located at Specsavers Wimbledon. These glasses are then collected and recycled, with funds raised from the reusable parts used to fund eye care projects in a number of African countries.
Richard Leach, store director at Specsavers Surbiton, said: ‘There are many people who have difficulty in gaining access to professional eyecare, which is why we are supporting the important work carried out by Vision Aid Overseas.’
