Following last month’s Comic Relief fundraising, the Specsavers Sudbury store has made a generous donation of more than £500 to the charity.
Making a big difference
The store raised hundreds of pounds as a result of selling comedy waving hands specs to customers. Their contribution of £508 is part of the near £500,000 raised by Specsavers, which is nearly double the company’s £250,000 pledge.
Store director Lynn Copeland says: ‘Our Comic Relief activity has been a great way for Sudbury residents to help us make a big difference collectively to this amazing cause and help vulnerable people living tough lives both in the UK and across Africa.’
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
